Hmm, this is very tragic that such an accident would occur it seems right as a new product was being released, my heart goes out to Jack's family and his co-workers. I hope that this tragic event doesn't darken the joy of a new product release, I am still very excited to hear about it!
Good Luck Jack, you are in all of our prayers.

Don't know if your joking or not (people don't seem to be getting April Fools Day jokes this year), so I thought I'd just add that Jack is still alive and WatchingPaintDryLab isn't real. wink

EDIT:

Umm... yes, that's what it stands for. (It doesn't actually exist.)

You people are believing all the fake stuff and not believing any of the real stuff. smile

Watching Cement Dry Lab is more just an added feature of Watching Paint Dry Lab Pro. It isn't actually a separate program.

Dude, stop taking this so personally, it has nothing to do with you. This joke has been around the forums longer than you have, by a long shot.

Superusers don't actually have the power to delete; that is reserved for the moderators (but I am a moderator as well). So yes, I could delete this, but since its all in good fun, I think I'll leave it for now.

FYI: Watching Paint Dry Lab first appeared in a video of the new FXhome office, i think from the last time they moved office. Maybe the time before, I don't recall exactly, but it was a good year or two ago. But among the numerous easter eggs in the video of things you 'weren't supposed to see,' was a brief shot of plans for WPD Lab.

Don't worry. You're not the first person to wonder what Watching Paint Dry Lab is, and as you weren't in on the initial joke way back when, you had a right to be curious. Although it is April Fool's day.

Heh, I didn't think the April Fool's Day news post would go this far. razz

Did anybody spot the similarity to a certain April 1st news post from way back in 2002? http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1878 That's right, we're referencing posts made seven years ago! This is getting more convoluted than Lost.

As for Watching Paint Dry Lab, you can find its origin in the video and comments here, as Axeman mentioned:

http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31435

Sadly, nobody ever really latched onto Bacon Sandwich Lab, which was a far more compelling product, if you ask me.
