Why don't all plugins support transparency?

I was just watching the AlamDV2 trailer, and I noticed that during the elevator-firing-scene, some of the muzzle shots had transparency applied... Now I loaded up the same plugin (array star flash) but there was to transparency slider! Can someone tell me how to quick and easy edit the plugin txt file to do it myself? Or is there another way?

TMM's Tip of the day: when u need to make an effect transparent, but it doesn't have a transparency option, then try using a mask, and making it slightly transparent, then play it over the effect u want to make transparent, now, when this is rendered, it will just look like the effect is transparent - works perfectly smile

I wasn't sure whether you were kidding or not by that part of the sentence. You really should be more definitive in your posts smile

Only effects made with an alpha channel in the images support the transparency slider - we'll look into making some new muzzle flashes with alpha channels

well for some effects this can work, but some like "Fairy_dust" don´t have chances... and this effects don´t have transparence...
