New Camera records in MP4 format - can I import into vision

Hi,

I have just purchased a new Camera (toshiba HD gigashot which records in MP4 format.

Please advise if this can be imported in to Vision lab as I seem to be having dificulties.

Only .mov or .avi files can be imported into VisionLab. You will have to convert your mp4 format into one of two formats.

No it cannot. Mp4 is really too highly compressed a format to be much good for footage that you want to edit, its really designed as a final distribution codec. but if you want to work with it in VisionLab, you will need to convert it to .mov or .avi format.
