Is there anywhere I can get a hold of the "flying through the sky" backdrop as seen in the vision lab preview and composite lab preview

That exact backdrop can be had from www.istockphoto.com . That's where they purchased it to make the tutorial, in fact. And their prices are quite reasonable too, so its a good thing all round.

Although it is not the exact footage used, there is a similar one available here for free: http://www.detonationfilms.com/free_stuff_page_3.htm (Scroll down towards the bottom and there are 3 available)

This site is very helpful (I think it was made by an FX Home website member) and has some great, high quality work available (many free ones availabe and even more for sale!)

Cheers

Axeman, I just tried to register at that www.istockphoto.com you mentioned, and it did everything right until it got to the "confirm" button. When I clicked on "confirm", I got a message saying they were sorry but they couldn't confirm, and would I click on "confirm" again.

Being paranoid, I'm always cautious when this kind of thing happens with no reason given. Do you know the site very well, yourself? Can you vouch for it?

Thanks.

A few skies I highly consider is the Clouds package from Videocopilot which can be found here:

www.istockphoto.com is a solid and reliable site, yes. I actually have very little experience with them personally, but I know a number of people who use them regularly, and have never heard of any problems with the site. I will vouch for them. Perhaps Tarn could chime in though, I know the FXhome crew uses the site pretty frequently, so he has more actual experience with them.

Okay, thanks, Axeman.

Hi there I have flying clouds (like superman) but only in a quicktime movie if that helps (22mb).

If you need it send me a message, or if anyone knows where I can upload I'll share the footage.
