Hey guys just wanted to release the LAST trailer before the release.
Again this is a no budget film and we DID NOT go to Egypt. Those shots we shot were at a construction site. Behind the scene pictures will follow on this thread shortly. Cheers and hope you enjoy!

Hey man, while I really always like your stuff I see you're putting the words 'NO BUDGET' on everything you do and everything related to it bigger and bigger and more and more blatantly nowadays.

And while I don't doubt that you're making your movies cheaply, slapping this on EVERYTHING so big seems kind of.........cheap, to me. Especially considering you're preaching to the choir here. I dunno, man. Nothing against you- just saying you have no need to throw the no budget line on everything in my opinion.

It just kind of dilutes the overall 'impressiveness' and professionalism of your movies for me, which would seem odd, as working such excellent technical and production values on little money should really make me more in awe. But instead, I've found myself rolling my eyes at the term- mostly because it's so rampant and I can't help myself.

Anywho, I thought it was worth mentioning as its bothered me on your last couple of projects.

Really, I mean no offense- Light of Eden looks excellent and I greatly look forward to it- just as a fellow filmmaker I had to let my tongue loose on the whole 'no budget' concept. We all know you're low budget/no budget, so are most of us; you know? On another note- I'm especially impressed with the editing of this trailer and the inventiveness and creativity to faking such cool shots of Egypt! Looks great, man, as always.

Can't wait and good job!

I would like to point something out, the reason why i put no budget is to honestly save myself from the question. Besides it's not like i put it NO BUDGET in huge letters in the trailer or anything.

In the trailer i just put it on there right after my website in small text. I'm not sure why this bothers you but it had been recommended to me by other filmmakers and people who comment on the films.

I honestly don't think i really am pushing it, it's more of a side note because i always get that question. And i'm not preaching it to the choir because i have more non filmmaker watch my films than filmmakers who do. (youtubers or whatever)

Unless you're speaking of the PROMO video which was quotes from a third party my crew picked and i agreed on.

Sorry if it had offended you.

No, not at all. It just always looks the most standout to me lately, because you put it in all caps and its the first words in your video descriptions on YouTube. I dunno, it just slightly screams 'look, I'm impressive!' to me- which so isn't you, and I really know that.

I guess I can't really convey what I mean- and I mean to say it with no disrespect, really. I just think, first off, you're spending some money on your movies- as we all are, I know that, and so to me the whole 'no' is kinda murky; although I know it pales in comparison and that's why people like to put it/tell budding semi-professionals to put it.

I get it, I'm not saying I don't see why you're putting it on there. I'm just saying, for whatever reason, in my mind it dilutes the quality of your work slightly. I don't know why, but for me it does. I hope I'm not offending you in saying this, though. Just thought you should know.

i didn't have the no budget thing in this film description on youtube. In fact i only do it because i get the question constantly.

As far as spending money.

I spend money on the gas i suppose.
I get tapes for free from my friend who had like 200 he never used.

And that's about it. All the equipment money came from film festivals. So no money was used for the ACTUAL filming. that's why i say no budget, and i really don't say it to be impressive. Just the other way around...so they don't judge the film as they would low budget films. Since they EXPECT more. (this point is for NON filmmakers) They don't understand how it works as much as filmmaker do for obvious reasons.

Hey Fred, really enjoyed the trailer. I'm still a fan of the pseudo-religious themes in your older stuff (Lost in Your Eyes, The Ninth Circle) but this looks pretty promising!

I wasn't the hugest hugest fan of this particular project at first, but it's shaping into something that looks really quite cool. Good luck!

Trailers keep looking better and better! Some really good shots in there!
Now let's watch the final film alright. smile

PS: What an unpleasant dude posting in your youtube comment list. It's amusing how passionate people can get both when they like or dislike something, ain't it? smile

Heh, I just meant THIS final film. I'm curious as to see how the final film turns out. smile

Death threats? Seriously? That's just wrong... crazy

I hope you don't let that get to you man. You know you can't take an opinion serious if it's accompanied by repetitious "YOU SUCK" or "GO HOME AND DIE". There are many sad, lost souls out there who probably have nothing more worthwhile to do with their time...
And besides, you certainly don't suck. That's a fact. wink

I thought this trailer was excellent. I will admit not all of your shorts are to my tastes but I think throughout your filmmaking you have always shown a consistency in quality and story telling.

Well done, look forward to the final film.

Ash.
