I was trying to use a preset from Detonation Films but it had a white background. Is there a way to make that go away when applying it in Effects Lab or do you need Composite Lab or the likes?? What isthe best way to make the Presets blend well with my footage? any tips would be great!

It requires compositing... however it is not a "preset" so to speak. The people at detonation films make "stock footage" which is an actual effect occurring with a solid colored background that you can key out. So in order to use it you need to "key out" the effects before placing them over video...

Presets and stock footage are entirely different beasts. They aren't constructed the same, they aren't used the same, and they don't work the same way. Presets are made up of settings for various controls of the engines within EffectsLab, whereas stock footage is nothing more than video.

To remove white backgrounds from stock footage, you need to set the Composite Blend Mode to Multiply. This can't be done in EffectsLab. Also, please try to keep support questions in the proper support forums. Thanks. I've moved this one for you.
