How to move the effect

so I know this may be a stupid question but I made a video with my camcorder showing my hand and I want to put like a magical orb there. so I put in the magical orb and its not over my hand and I don't know how to move it.

I'm a noob at this but I really need help

Bottom left of the screen, where it shows the track name, open this up, click on the animation title, a box will apear around your clip, with a centre square, click and hold on this to move your clip to the desired location.

or if its a preset, then click ont the emmiter attributes.

I'm going by the assumption that this is a particle preset.

The emitter should appear immediately after the effect is added, and will remain until you go back to the "effects" tab. Just click and drag to move the emitter. Two things to keep in mind with particles, however:

1: If your particles are set to "free from origin" and you are not on the first frame of the effect, the particles will not move with the emitter. If you want them to do so, you have to select "stuck to origin". 2: If the emitter is a box (versus a point), and you click the corner of the box, you won't move the entire effect, but widen the emitter. Click inside the box to move the whole thing.
