Tag Team: Part Deux

Good morning. It's your friendly neighborhood ben3308.
As some of you know, myself (ben3308) has recently started the second incarnation of "The FXHome Tag Team" here in the FXhome forums to combat the burgeoning development of new userbase (herein known as the Clan of Fists of Awe, or CoFoA) that has plagued us with inhumanity and darkness. This thread will be dedicated to questions and comments about the CoFoA as well as requests to join the Tag Team.
Please use this space to ask to join the Tag Team. We have very lenient methods for choosing members. If we decide you are fit to join, we will send you an invitation through PM.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about the team.

Sorry, you'll have to be more specific. And if you have qualifications, please cite precedent.

Is there a point to tag team?

Questions as such will have to be answered on a case-by-case basis. But yes, second incarnation tertiary purpose is to directly combat the Clan of Fists of Awe. Its primary and secondary purposes are only revealed to members.
Thank you for your PM, Limey, you are now a member.

Exactly what does the team do?

Sorry, questions of this manner will be susceptible to be answered only if asked by members of said tag team; of which myself and Limey are currently a part. I believe I have been very clear about this.
Tag Team serves an intricate purpose on FXhome - most especially in the forums, though onetime in product development (WPD) phases. Further than that, I'm afraid I can only get into specifics with members of the Tag Team.

I love joining organisations of which I know little about.
My qualifications? Well I'm a spelling, grammar and punctuation Nazi, plus I love hurting people.
Well, maybe that'll be no use... but you know when you see some evil guy in a film, and he has a few of those tall moody looking goons stood just behind him being silent and giving everyone a shifty look. Well I could do that.
Just think how awesome that would be for you if we ever had a meeting? Hell even if you had a job interview that'd be a great way to turn the tables on the interviewers.
Could you at least give some information as to the first
FX Home tag team? I tried searching, but the search results brought back... well... every single thread ever written

Awwww man, I really like the section of free stock footage and sound effects. It would be cool to get a section of free discounts from Cannon or Auto-desk.

Can I join? I can be the entertainment. I don't know how to whistle. I eat a lot every day and I tend to sleep. I also take plenty of showers. I love mangos and take out the trash from time to time. My favorite movies are those I find enjoyable. I also love to fish.

I feel a bit more reserved. You have sparked my interest in your first post Ben, but is it a one time commitment? Can I get cold feet once you tell me exactly what it is I'm singing up for? Am I even a candidate, or am I not invited?
If I have to say yes or no, right here, right now, no turning back, then this reminds me a bit to much of The Church of Practicology.

If you let me join, you can use a script I've written to make a film, but not actually do it.

There has been quite the new user influx lately. I think a Tag team might be a good idea.

Bryce, Aculag, MVPstar, glad to have you onboard. I'm emailed you the feature upgrades as well.
To everyone else: applications to the Tag Team are processed on a case-by-case basis, as aforementioned, and can only be received via PM.
Short of being a hand-picked candidate (which the above three are), you must prove yourself as a scientist, and a fighter at your respective art. Failure to respond or comply in this manner will mean a lifetime ban from Tag Team. Please field all other questions in this thread, or via PM. As Bryce mentions, the new user influx - herein known as development of the Clan of Fists of Awe - is the tertiary purpose for the Tag Team, yes. Again, however, the primary and secondary purposes are only disclosed to confirmed members. Seniority at FXHome is another big factor in the application process. Thank you.

Well, Ben did say that was a tertiary concern, it's the other two that have got me interested... in a cat killing kind of way.
Dare I face rejection though? Will Ben shun my advances? Should I drink that extra beer and pluck up some courage?
I think newbies are fine, but there is *one* or two that is causing a fair bit of disruption. Given the calibre of this community I'd say that causes a few problems for those who see this as a breeding ground of intelligent work and debate.
Those people tend to be the ones who have been here a while, so whilst it may come across as anti-noob. I don't think it's that cut and dry.

Given, they can't very well call
it that, which is why the upgrades are, as has been mentioned several times, given to users (and notably, members of Tag Team) on a case-by-case basis.
As with all questions, applications to the Tag Team are still being accepted via PM.
Richard III, I'm afraid I cannot field questions of that nature unless the party inquiring is already a confirmed Tag Team member. Given your latent allegiance to the Clan of Fists of Awe, I believe your situation precludes being answered by members of the Tag Team. My deepest apologies.

To double post on account of re-addressing issues, Fill, your application is accepted contingent upon you writing more dispensible dramas. (Riddler sections are, to date, the only ones completely in entirety - you need to see them.) Consequently, then, I will try my best to begin production on them and never speak a word after faltering mid-way through.
No Respite, if you will apply via PM I can appropriately process your request for membership, and attach the feature upgrades we've been discussing. We have plans for a forum icon in coming weeks to denote Tag Team members, but this is all, of course, only tentative.
As for the first incarnation of Tag Team, I'm afraid only LtMcMurphy or Aculag can be bothered to field questions about it - however, note that messaging either of them about it will result in immediate ban from Tag Team: Part Deux. Inquiries about the Clan of Fists of Awe, however, are acceptable, and can be sent to any active TT:P2 members.

Yes, let it be known that Tag Team: Part Deux(TM) is in no way affiliated with Tag Team(TM). Their intentions are similar, but Tag Team: Part Deux(TM) has employed many features that simply did not exist at the inception of Tag Team(TM).
All hail Tag Team: Part Deux(TM).

Aculag, I forgot to ask: did you receive the features as mentioned? I'm unsure if the TT:P2 nameserver is functioning correctly at the moment.
It's vital that everyone receive the aforementioned features, as that is integral to receiving the first two (secret) purposes of the Tag Team, which have been thusly enumerated. As for Richard III, he is barred from application to the team (and therein any knowledge of its imprimus purpose) for his allegiance, however inadvertent, to the CoFoA.

Even as I am not yet accepted, may I suggest a tertiary concern?

As such a question does not lie within Tag Team's scope of comprehensive knowledge, I'm afraid that cannot be answered. I urge you, however, to apply via PM if you wish to understand the tenets of our first and second purposes.

I am sure, however, that the Clan of Fists of Awe will gladly accept your interests right now.

Fill, your knowledge, as aptly demonstrated by your display of pertinent (yet seemingly innocuous) corresponding numbers - good job, by the way - is exceedingly evidential of the need to put you at a higher position in the Tag Team.
Congratulations, you now hold the responsibilities of TT:P2 liaison, which means you'll need to coordinate our TT listserv so that we can exchange feature files at moment's notice. Obviously, since some features will be internally produced by TT:P2, we'll need a database set up to handle this with the utmost discretion.
Do you think you can do this? If not, I'm delegating this one to rogolo, who has been a TT:P2 member since its inception (albeit, in secrecy).
Furthermore, if all Tag Team members (inclusive of TT: first incarnation members) could please run the following numbers through the forum applet enclosed in the feature package, and check to make sure a result similar to Fill's is yielded. If the result is not the same, please check the 'apply' box in the authorware feature set so that the code may be appended to the end of all active TT:P2 posts.
Thank you. I regret to inform that open applications are now closed for TT:P2 and the rest of the selections will be made on a case-by-case basis via scouting. If you have any other queries regarding Tag Team: Part Deux (including, but not limited to its tertiary purpose, excepting questions about primary/secondary purposes or TT: first incarnation) please send them in via PM.
Be mindful, however, that the Tag Team reserves the right to block posts from users (which is why Part Deux was created, because the feature set is only just now completed for its members) who abuse the rules of TT:P2. Off-topic PMs will be sent out on the TT:P2 listserv so that all members can enable their feature sets to block abusive users.
Thank you, that is all.
