Hello everyone,

I just purchased, installed, & activated program with no problems logged in as Administrator on WinXP Pro SP2 PC.

When I login with my normal user account (Power User rights), run the program, and click on any effect engine, there aren't any presets listed in the bottom half of the effects browser. I tried to import the default presets within the program by pointing to the program/presets and different user doc directories, but nothing is listed.

If I double click on any effect engine, the effect engine options show up under the browser "Info" tab.

Everything works fine logged in as Admin, but I don't like to run programs in that environment because if something goes rogue, it has Admin privileges to screw up my PC.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help...MG

My first guess - make sure your normal user account has access to the folder containing the presets, located at My Documents/FXhome/VisionLab Studio/presets or something similar. Not sure how it works on windows, but if there is a different Documents folder for each user account, as i assume there would be, then perhaps the user account doesn't have access to the admin documents folder containing the presets.

Thanks so much for the quick response!

I got it working by copying the whole Fxhome directory from Admin docs & settings folder to my normal user folder (after first deleting the original Fxhome dir from normal user folder).

FYI, when I first ran the program after installation and logged in as Admin, it took a couple minutes for it to read in all the default presets and then asked for the default canvas settings. When I ran it the first time logged in with my normal user account, it only asked for the default canvas settings (did PC reboot after install).

Thanks again...MG
