I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to create a rendering of a WW1 German Tank for use in a thesis film?

You do realise this is the 'backdrop' section of the forum, not a '3d model' or render section. Unless all you want is some footage, or an image of a tank. In that case, try using flickr. just go to advanced options and set the creative commons lisence on, as well as 'use commercially' and 'adapt for own use' ( <--- I think thats it), that way there are no legal problems.
