Let's consider my companies situation. We shoot literally thousands of sports "green" images. We do change our studios over to blue when possible, but here's the rub... even when a player has a green uniform 90% of the time it has blue accents or logos or some other blue element. It has become impossible to manage changing 'green' to 'blue'. We are determined to find the efficient solution for shooting "green on green".
We have been working with the mask functionality of the PhotoKey program and as anyone that has used it knows it takes way to long to create an accurate mask to be efficient on a large scale project. The "Illustrator' type corner and curved points are definitely not the answer for this feature. If the masking feature was improved to "drawing" functionality the PhotoKey application would be stellar. Think Wacom Tablet. Touch Screen. How can this be accomplished? I don't know. Not my area of expertise however there is some interesting technology flying around that one could apply. Take a look at an iPhone application called ColorSplash. Find it on iTunes App Store or look to http://www.juxtaposer.info/ColorSplash.html this type of "color in/out" masking is exactly what your application needs to stand out from all the rest and we've tried most.
Thanks for reading. Hope you'll consider an upgrade of your masking feature.
