Masking Help (More detail on Object Masks and Invisibility?)

I was wondering how can you make one of thosse cool invisible effects, the masking tutorial is short and it doesn't explain much of a thing!!!!!
And also with the object masking section, i tried like in the tutorial, the actor with holes, but yet again no detailed explanation...........sad

HELP!!!

Actually, th info that you recieved from watching the tutorials... it is more than detailed enough... you just have to know what you're doing... try the same thing in the tut's but with a green screen first, and once you get the hang of it you'll see how powerful the software really is.

oh sorry man, not at all.
The object mask can be used with any clip, photo, image or video that has an alpha channel "transparancey"

When you use a greenscreen and key out the green, you are making the greenscreen transparent or giving it an alpha channel.

I was thinking that if you tried the object masking with a greencreen first... you would learn to understand what you can do by linking effects or anything with an alpha channel together. As in... you would realize what you can really do with this technique plus there wouldn't be that great ofa learning curve, at least that's what I was hoping.
