I had a topic going about the licensing abilities and such of the After Effects educational version, and it just disappeared! It's not listed in "Posts by me", it's not in the Filmmaker's Forum, where it was, and a search doesn't turn up anything. Did it get deleted intentionally, and, if so, why?

Mot likely it was deleted by one of the moderators, yes. As to why, I can't say for certain, but my first guess is that the conversation was straying toward dubious activity regarding copyright and licensing. This isn't allowed, as explained in the Forum Guide. Even though it may not have been your posts which were deemed inappropriate for whatever reason, the topic likely got deleted.

The one who did the actual deleting could perhaps offer a more specific explanation.

"Dubious activity?" I was just asking if the educational license could be used commercially. Are you saying that I or someone else probably said something against the rules? Like what? Last I checked the topic, the whole thing seemed completely appropriate, above-ground, whatever you want to call it. But I hadn't checked it for 24 hours, so... I don't know. Any idea who deleted it?

I deleted it. The reason is quite simple: If you want to know about Adobe software, go to the Adobe website.
