Backgrounds change on unique setting

I use the pro version.
I have a bunch of pics from a kindergarden, where the parents can choose between several backgrounds.
After importing the foreground, I import the background. After adjusting the image, I press the unique setting button, and move on to adjust the next pic, and ad a new background. But when I return to the previous pic, I can see that even though the settings is uniqe, the background has now changed to the last used background.
Is it true that the unique setting does not work on the background, or I'd rather say the background is always global?
If so, can I suggest a change of this in the next upgrade.

The background is always global, that is correct.
I'll make sure your comments are passed on to the development team for consideration in future versions.

Now that I've completed 58 pictures with 5 different backgrounds, I would recommend anyone not to use PhotoKey for adding different backgrounds. I tried a workaround, by adding 1 background at the time, and then exporting the picture. Quickly I was caught up in a file nightmare. PhotoKey would work really well if different backgrounds could be added to different pictures, but as it is now, it's unsuited for larger productions.

I am having the same problem, the only reason I purchased it was becasue I thought you could batch using different backgrounds.

Well, obviously it's now conclusive what the word "batch" really include.
I did actually try to do it all in PhotoKey. The plan was to add one background at a time, and then exporting only the images that needed that background. In my case that got difficult because the images had their original imagefile number, and not a customernumber. So when adding the picture to an exportlist, I also removed the file from it's original sequence. That made it harder to find out what files to export, the longer I got down the list.
It is also possible to use PhotoKey to save the keyed images in as a PNG-file, and adds the background in photoshop.
I've had a good respond from fxhome to this problem later, and I'm sure they will try to fix this in future updatings.
