How do you replace a blank background color(like green or blue) with a picture or recording? Or do you need to buy the full version to do so?

Check the tutorials, greenscreening is covered in depth smile

You can do it in the demo versions, but the output is watermarked.

You need to place a video or image on the layer beneath the greenscreen clip. Layering up different items like this is the core part of any compositing system, really.
