Effects not showing up on Editing software

When I export the effects, they look fine, but when I put them on My editing software (Adobe Premiere 7) the effects don't show up.

You mean after you render the effects, you can see them in the rendered video like the video on your desktop (or wherever)? If so then what type of video codec is your video in(.mov, .avi)?

What render settings did you use? What type of effects are we talking about?

If they are muzzle flashes, you might take a look at this article.

even after I rendered it it still didn't show up. and the weird thing is I just used the same settings a few hours ago and they worked.

That is odd. You didn't happen to turn off visibility for the layers containing the effects, did you?

If you can answer those questions in my previous post, we'll see if we can help you sort this out.

sorry yes they were muzzle falshes in the clip. But when I previewed the clip (on Adobe) the flashes were there, but when i put the clip on the timeline the clip was there but it had no flashes

Did you play around the codecs or some setting in adobe. Also what are u using, After effects? Final cut?

I was using premiere 7 and i did not mess with the codec

Did you read the article I linked to? Did you make sure that the flashes each lasted at least two fields?

Glad to hear you got it sorted. If its not too much trouble, could you post what caused the problem, that way the information is here, available for anyone else who might run into this.

I really don't know what to tell you. I just restarted the computer and the effects were there. Anyway thanks guys.
