ok, i want to add a picture of shoop da woop(lazer collection guy) but whenever i put it in my movie, its see through. i have a bunch of the same picture in a folder so i can use it like an image stream, but when in the movie, its see through. how do i either add the pic w/o making an image stream, or how do i make the image stream fully opaque?

If I remember this correctly, EffectsLab automatically composites all layers using the "Screen" method, unless the layer has an alpha (transparency) channel. You should be able to import your image into something like Photoshop, cut the background out there, and export it as either a .png or a .tiff file, making sure to include the transparency. The resulting image should show up properly solid in EL.
Additionally, there's no need to place multiples of one image for use as an image stream. If you select "Import Media", you'll be able to import a still image, and make it last as long as you need it to.
