I am interested in the above product, but would like to know more about what it has to offer. I have read everything written in the store, and watched a short film from an Fx'er using the product. However, specifically I wanted to know if there is any duplication of material- especially clip art that we already have available through the website- and if so, how much?

Are you asking whether your able to use stock footage and effects within the program? Because you can. If your on about them then have a look at Sollthars http://www.nccinema.ch/
If this isn't what your talking about then what are you on about specifically?

More specifically I am wondering if any of the same clip art is found also in the download site of Fxhome. Obviously the 50 stock footage shots would not be available except through the package.
ex) would the same vehicles (spaceships, etc.) be found on the site and the package.
i.e. I wouldn't want to purchase something I can get all ready.

Aha, the "Presets" that are user generated and put into the Download section off the website is all done by using the programs engines, so "clip-art" such as spaceships and stuff are a no, but the presets...there's loads, various thousand muzzle flashes, rain effects, snow, the sun, optics, etc. It's really varied.

All of the stock footage dvds' do not contain any of the free presets or alamdv plugins. So no... you would not be paying for something which you can download for free.

The Footage: Special Effects collection contains all of the old AlamDV2 plugins, which are available to registered Lab users on the website. The versions on the disc have all been converted to Quicktime movies for ease of use, however.
