I have iMovie 09, and when I try and "share" my video, whenever the clip came from CompositeLab it just shows up as blackness. Is there something special I have to do with iMovie?

You need to render your video as a .MOV or AVI file out of iMovie since the Lab products are designed to only work with those two formats. They create the best video quality but also large file sizes.

Yeah it's still not working. Anything else special for Imovie? Or for any exporting job?

Make sure you have the latest version of CompositeLab installed:

There was an update not that long ago to improve Quicktime compatibility with iMovie. Do you know what codec iMovie is exporting the files into?

On a related note, if you plan on making movies for some time, I encourage you to get as far away from iMovie as quickly as you can. It is among the worst video editors out there. Unfortunately, there aren't may options for inexpensive editors that are decent, on a Mac. Final Cut Express is your best bet, but it's not exactly cheap.

When installing the new software, it says to uninstall the old software, does that mean I just have to delete it?

Its best to follow the instructions for a clean re-install, which involves more than just deleting the application.
