My wife bought me VLS for Christmas and, thus far, I've been unable to get past the "wizard". I've followed the link, entered my serial number, downloaded and installed the software, and then I get the "wizard" that insists I have no internet connection. I am unable to use option 1 or 2 of the "wizard" and am left with option 3 - the serial file from another computer. Huh???

I log into my account at FXhome at it says I have VLS registered. Okay, fine. I click on "My Serials" and it's blank.

I've submitted a ticket on this but, being New Years eve (or day as the case may be), I am not sure anyone in support will get back to me today. I'm hoping someone is lurking on the forums and can solve this issue.

What am I doing wrong??

Thanks,

Paul

P.S. I tried the clean install instructions and thought I was getting a different result - turned out I'm back at the "wizard" and having the exact same problem. Very frustrating.

I'm not sure why the activation wizard cannot detect your internet connection, maybe a firewall issue?

But option 3 is the "key file" option. You can download your key file from this page

http://fxhome.com/account/install-program/24/VisionLab+Studio?offline=1#activation

Once you have the key file you should be all set.

Hello and thank you!

I followed the link and got my serial file and VSL is up.

I've no idea why the wizard can't detect my internet connection - I checked the firewall and it's actually disabled on the computer. There shouldn't be anything blocking "normal" communication and I didn't see anything about opening ports and such. Very strange.

Anyway, very much appreciate your help. Happy New Year to you and all the best,

Paul

Check your firewall and antivirus permissions and make sure it allows VL permission to access the net.
