Hi,
I'm getting the DIRECTOR PLAYER ERROR pop-up. I've done the clean reinstall twice but when I try to get into the the project the error comes up again. Is there anything I can do?

Try downloading the lastest installer for your account. I believe that version of the program is outdated.

Does the error happen when you open a specific project? Do all projects behave this way, or just a specific one? If it is related to a specific project, the only solution may be to revert to an earlier version of the project from your backup, before the problem presented itself.

Yes, it only happens on one project.

"the only solution may be to revert to an earlier version of the project from your backup, before the problem presented itself."

How would I do that?

Well, you would go to your backup drive, or your backup disks, or the folder where you store backup versions of your projects, and open an earlier version.

This simple solution hinges on the assumption that you back up your computer regularly, as everyone knows they should, in case something like this happens.

You can also try sending the project file to support@fxhome.com and see if they can reconstitute it, but there is only a slim chance that they can.
