I was just wondering if their is a way to make an image, that is only one single frame and then render it and somehow convert it to an image file.
Like, say I uploaded a video and I wanted a still image of one shot after I added a effects to it.
Is it possible to do this, if it makes sense?

Yeah,

Click on render then click render current frame or you can...

click render... render settings... click output container and change the format to png tga... then click render again and then click render current frame.
