Is it just me, or is anyone else having problems with the effects on the trial version of 3 Pro? I just changed from a windows machine to a Mac, and I know there is a learning curve, but I've gotten just about everything else to work, except the effects. smile

Thanks!

I've not had any problems myself, or heard of anyone else having problems.

If you can explain what sort of problems you are having exactly, we may be able to help you sort them out.

Thus far, we've been unable to get any of the special effects to work, i.e. the shadows

Sorry...was flipping through windows, and clicked submit as the other window was closing...at any rate, we're unable to use the depth of field, soft focus, silhouette, vignette, tint, and shadow tools.

I'm sure this is probably a newbie issue eek and I'm overlooking something really simple. The only thing that I can think of that might be an issue is that I haven't selected the correct layer, so I am still noodling.

Axeman, I appreciate you replying! Have a great night!

Hi, again....

Ok, just give me the dunce cap and put me in the corner. redface

After aimlessly clicking around in the effects toolbox, I found the little check box in the upper right corner of each tool, and that enables the effect tool.

As I figured...newbie issue. smile Thanks again, tho! smile

This girl will most assuredly be grabbing up the full version of this software! On the new mac, it hauls tail! smile

Ah, right, glad you figured it out. The ol' "have to turn it on first" ploy. Nice that it was an easy fix though. Have fun with the software.
