Adding muzzle flash to exact frame

Hello what is the process to have a muzzle flash start on the frame of my choice. I cant seem to figure it out.

Play to the specific point in time that you want to put the flash and pasue(you can use the arrow keys to hit the exact frame). Place the preset you want to use on the timeline. You should be set. If necessary you could also use the crop tool to trim the length of the effect.

The only other thing to note is that if you want to control the flashes manually, make sure the 'rate of fire' slider is set to 100. This will make sure that the flashes always appear, and you can use the on/off toggle to determine whether they're visible or not.

Lowering the rate of fire slider reduces the chance of the flash appearing on any given frame. This is really useful for machine gun fire, but not so great if you're doing something specific. smile
