Hello everyone! I need some help with Vision lab studio. Normally, I would click vision lab it would open up just fine. Now, whenever I open vision lab, it will just keep loading and never turn on. I have restarted the computer and even shut it down for a while. But it still has the same problem!
Please Help! Thanks!

By the way, I use a Mac if that helps.

Are you trying to start it from the same user account as normal?

I'd recommend checking the tips here and running through a full clean reinstall:

I am just opening it as normal I believe. Will I loose my vision lab movie files if I reinstall?

No, it won't affect your movie files or project files at all, unless you've been storing them in odd locations. smile

You would lose any extra presets you've created or downloaded, however.

I have only made one. That one actually was the wand glow from your latest tutorial so I can just watch it again smile. Should I reinstall and see where we go from there?

Yeah, try the reinstall and see what happen. Hopefully it will fix the problem.

On a side note, it's always advisable to have backups of your video and project files (no matter what software you're using), that way you don't have to worry about things being accidentally deleted.

It seems to have worked! If I have that problem again do I just do the same things?

I've not heard of that problem occurring before, to my knowledge, so hopefully it won't happen again. smile

But, yes, if you experience odd problems it's always worth trying a clean reinstall. Such problems are rare and are normally caused by other software altering your operating system or causing other glitches.

But now I am not sure where all the presets are. I don't see them anywhere.

Are you running the software from the same account that you installed to?

I think so. I did not use the serial code. Instead, I used my account.

Are you sure you did steps 2 and 3?

2. Go to your "Home" folder then "Documents" and delete the "FXhome" folder.

3. Go back to your "Home" folder and then in to "Library" and then "Preferences". Delete the "VisionLab Studio 1.5" folder.
Try closing VisionLab, deleting the Home->Library->Preferences->VisionLab Studio 1.5 folder, then restarting VisionLab. This should force it to import the presets.

By restarting you mean reinstalling?

No, just start the software again. Shouldn't need to reinstall.

Does the presets loading bar appear when you first load the software?

I can't open it to find out. But if you mean while it is loading to get on, I just see the acknowledgements.

Sorry, I'm a little confused now. Are you not able to even run the software now? I thought you were now running the software successfully, but were missing the presets?

You are correct. When I asked the question about the opening problem, Vision lab studio would not open. It would only show what you see right before vision lab studio opens. when I reinstalled vision lab, It was working good but there were no presets. After I closed vision lab it would open just as normal. On the third time opening it, it just loaded as it did before. So I reinstalled again and the same story happened.

I realized that both those times I forgot to go to the preferences and delete vision lab studio 1.5
The Second time when you told me to delete visionlab off the presets, the loading problem happened AFTER that.

Yes still a little confusing I would understand. smile

Ah right. Please try performing a clean reinstall properly then, being sure to follow every single step exactly as described. Missing out a step will stop the clean reinstall from working correctly.
