So I've had compositelab pro for a while, and just recently got effectslab pro. There were a couple of problems that I experienced on both, and I was wondering how to get them solved. For starters, when I'm starting a new project, I can't just click "new" it doesn't work for some reason, so I have to make a blank timeline and so on and so forth. The problem with this is that the framerates get messed up, audio doesn't work, and the movie is like 50% faster then the original clip. Also, I can't just play the video, it goes by really fast so I can't tell how a clip is gonna look till I render it. Which takes a long time. I don't know why, but wen I click play it just shoots by in 2 seconds. I was also wondering how to download the plugins and such from online. Thanks

Please provide a lot more details regarding how clicking "New" doesn't work. Where exactly are you clicking New, and what happens when you do?

If you start from a blank timeline, it is critical that you select the correct project settings that match the footage you will be using, otherwise playback speed will be wonky and other issues are likely to arise. the correct settings depend on the footage you will be working with, so you need to determine the exact details of your footage's format.

Are you preview rendering within the program before you playback?

Downloading plug-ins is as simple as clicking the download button. Its it the actual downloading that is giving you trouble, or using the plug-ins? Are you referring to the AlamDV plug-ins or the presets from the presets library?

Using AlamDV plug-ins
Installing new presets

There are many other useful articles in the knowledgebase as well. You might find it beneficial to look through the knowledgebase and the rest of the support areas when questions arise regarding the software.

Yeah, sorry bout the clarity of the question, I fixed the majority of it by using my mac's web cam because i know the fps of that, so all the details worked out. Thanks for the plug-ins info too.
