You may have spotted that the FXhome Awards were sponsored this year by SneakOn, who gave a year’s subscription to all the winners. SneakOn was created by ISM, the same people behind the Anatomy of Filmmaking DVD collection that can be found in the FXhome.com store. ISM are all about empowering and educating young filmmakers, which is also a big part of what drives us here at FXhome.com.

The full SneakOn web service goes live today, so now’s a good time to check it out if you’re interested. They’ve got extensive music and sound effects stock libraries, plus areas to showcase your films and receive feedback. On top of that there’s a collection of interviews and chat events with industry figures – last week the producer of Schindler’s List and Minority Report showed up to say hello.

You can find out more over at SneakOn.com.

The interface of that site is rather "interesting" and takes some time to get used to. smile

It basically does what so many other filmmaking websites do, but it does so in a really fancy outfit that can both be potentially fun or annoying to certain people I imagine. I find it rather funny. razz

Ben's been using it for a few days- it's apparently pretty useful. (If also slightly annoying/slow the way its set up.)

He's been talking to some famous producer on it, too. Just about filmmaking in general. Cool stuff.

I think it has potential to be really good for networking, and the sound fx library is very nice. The interface is a bit annoying at times, but it's quite fun. Definitely check it out.

Oh, cool. The most easily-browsed thing they have here is a Script Library with a bunch of Academy-Award winning scripts. Cool stuff.

Although, there's this whole Prestige (read: force/FXperience) system I'm not totally down with, but alas, I'll get over it. biggrin An insane amount of royalty-free music to browse, but no search function, so I gotta go through it album-by-album.......bah. wink

I think it's a welcome interactive experience instead of the usual website kinda thing.

I'll be spending some serious time here.

Signed up for a couple months. Very cool website once you get the concept down. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't done so yet. The music/sound effects they offer are fantastic.
