You beat me to it by about 30 seconds! razz

Been a while since we changed the forums around: hopefully this'll prove useful for PhotoKey users and hybrid people with the new HDSLRs.

I was thinking not too long ago, with all the merging of still and video cameras (and all the talk here about them) it'd be inevitable that a new forum would be created. Looks like we've got one now.

Another thing for me to help run straight into the ground. wink

9!!!!

How long does this counting our posts go on for? And does it really even count anymore, when there are several other threads already going on in this forum?

Anyway, having a new forum specifically for discussing photography is great! Looking forward to seeing what goes on in here in the future.

I think stop motion would be generally regarded as filmmaking rather than photography, although it does of course straddle both disciplines.

But curiously, time-lapse is often considered photography, rather than video.

We were discussing a little earlier that if Michael Bay's editing style intensifies any further, he'll essentially be making stop motion films.

O.K cool man.

I think there should be mini forums on special aspects of film and video, like stop-motion, animation, documentaries, sci-fi...especially since the community members are skilled in many aspects of movie-making, not only visual effects.

Cheers,

Forums with loads of sub-forums tend to get fragmented pretty quickly. Arguably we already have more sub-forums than is healthy, but it seems to work for us so far.

However, there aren't really enough people to support, for example, a stop-motion dedicated sub-forum. The filmmaker's forum is a perfectly suitable place for stop-motion stuff.
