Just an enhancement request/wish for a later version.
Would be helpful for "Retain Alpha" masks to actually retain the original alpha values within their boarders, rather than override with a "1" value of solid.

If I load a PNG with alpha, it is displayed properly, with existing transparent areas showing the checker board.
Keying works well, properly making the keyed areas transparent along with the areas that were already clear in the original PNG.

Now, if I add a garbage matte around an area that I would like to Not be keyed using the "retain alpha" setting for the mask, the original PNG transparency is lost within the borders of the mask. Sad. sad

Just wanted to add another thought to enhancing the masks functionality...

Would be cool to have a drop-down control like the "remove/retain alpha" control to specify whether the mask impacts alpha, or just the spill suppression operation.

I've a quite a few instances where the key turned out great, and spill suppression looked fine for most of the image, but there was one small area (maybe a logo, or a T-Shirt, etc.) where colors were changed too much by suppression. By having an "spill suppression" mask, a loose garbage mask could be quickly drawn around the area, without loosing detail in the keyer based alpha.

Currently, if this situation happens, the user has to draw a detailed mask around the edges of anything like this, otherwise a "retain alpha" mask will override the keying result.

Hope this is helpful.
