Highly anticipated first movie in The Matriks series. Starring David Rhymers, Charlie Leveridge. Director/Editor Andrew Logan(AlamDV user andrewlogan). Satire of The Matrix, Star Wars, Rocky. Great special effects thanks to AlamDV! Visit AFComix.com for more info...

This was possibly the worst movie I have ever seen in my ENTIRE LIFE. It is the best rip-off of the matrix that I have seen so far, because it is so BAD. No offense, AndrewLogan, but, I mean, come on! The lightsaber scene was very, uh, fake. And the story line just wreaked of a bad movie's stench. What do I think about the sequel? Don't post it.

Dude! You stole 'The MaTRIX Are For Kids' name!! lol

Other that that, this movie is quite possibly one of the worst movies on the site! razz

Actually it's not that bad. A few things:

•Messed up lightsabers.
•Rocky theme? This is the matrix!
•The guy running across the street and sorta picking up/dragging that one kid across the street . .. what's he doing in the movie?
•What's up with the pad he lands on in after the 'matrix jump'?
•What's with the matrix jump? Since you're working on a mac, email me if you want a decent morphing program so you can make a better matrix-style jump. You were creative for that matrix jump, so that is the reason for on of the stars.

I think there are a few more things but i don't know!

'Could be worse' - - - - It was as good as the matrix are for kids. Almost.

PS: It's not the worst movie on the site! There are much worse ones. Like, Fool Skool 3, which I made, for example. Actually, effects-wise, it's way better than this movie. But I just hate it for personal reasons. razz

Alright that was... not so good... No offense but you need a better storyline and it needs to be brighter. You did have some good ideas, though. I liked the "You can re-enact your favorite movie scenes" but the bad lightsabers ruined it. The Matrix Jump was a good try but... no. Just no. Sorry if I'm tearing your movie apart. Good luck next time!

Hmm....that was...erm...pretty poop. Actually it wasn't that bad, loads of films on here are poor. But let me recap. The film was about a person, who, for no obvious reason recieves a phone. A random voice tells him to run with no specific direction, so he does, remarkably camply. However a man runs out of a bush and throws him into the gutter. The bush lurking, person runs off back to the safety of his foilage. Leaving the camp running guy to pass out. Waking up he wanders into what could be a garage, where something happens involving confectionery. Although exactly what, could not be assertained as it was too dark. He then proceeds to have a fit in a chair. After his confectionery induced fit, he drops down in a garden, where he is taught to fall over. He then has a strange episode involving light sabers and some thing that could be a small explosion that moves. A Rocky moment later and I was now well and truly confused. This vague image of plot, was told via the gift of slow editing, bad camera work and bad special effects. However this film is a comedy and it was funny. Therefore, I thought it was pretty good. If you ever consider doing something non comedic, you need to learn, desperately. One last thing, the best thing about the matrix was actually nothing to do with lightsabers, it was Carrie-Anne Moss. biggrin

I haven't seen this movie yet, but I hope to download it when I get home from work tonight. From your comments, I can tell this isn't the best movie ever, but there is absolutley no reason to rub it in his face saying 'this is wurst movee ever!!11". Try and focus on the good things, tell them what you liked. If someone is going to be succesfull, they need encouragement, not discouragement.

I didn't think it was that bad, although looking at my review. (I was TWO_GUNS, and only a guest until a few seconds ago) I kind of slated it a bit. My early films where as erm... not so good. but i carried on and I'm better at it now. It is quite good, by making a crap film you learn where you went wrong. The kid is quite talented and could go very far. I've seen things just as bad on late night t.v. I apologise for my rather harsh critcism. biggrin

Sorry you didn't enjoy it... The script was, well nonexistent, we through this togethter in ONE DAY! Glad to see that most of you were rather fourthcoming in your reviews and I appreciate that. Once again, sorry you didn't enjoy it. and remember that I'm not a veteran AlamDVer. What was wrong with the lightsabers??? to much glow??? the sound effects seemed good to me...

not the worst, but far from the best...

negative points:

• what the hell was wrong with those sabers?!? u should of used alam for them smile
• i couldn't make out what was on the screen cos it was so dark most of the time...
• i couldn't hear a word they were saying at some points...
• what was that bit at the beginning? y did he tackle u tard
• bad editing...
• bad music...
• bad effects...
• and u run like a girl in that first scene smile

Positive points:

• good idea, but not well made, when doing the rest of the episodes work harder on it, u will be very impressed with ur final thing, and u'll really enjoy it too smile good try and from this u can learn from ur mistakes smile like u said, u only threw it together in one day, maybe spend more time on it next time, and get good lighting smile

anyway, good try, but only worth about a 1 or maybe a 2, depending on how i feel in 30 seconds when i rate it smile

Well...
I'm a bit disapointed in viewing such remarks...
Being honnest, while most of the movies here are really very far from the top level (including mine) and really... I hate viewing such ininteresting and upsetting comments.

my 2 cents

What r u talking about!?!
a.I did use alam for the sabers, what was wrong with them?
b.I wasn't in it.
c.The lighting was good but may have been lost at that resolution
d.The sound was good, perhaps your volume was too low.
e. sorry again that it didn't live up to your expectations, I will try harder on the next one, but I would appreciate more specific comments(ie:what the hell was wrong with my sabers!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)

ok...that's all I asked for.... THANK YOU, next time I'm chroma keying out the black, I'll be more careful. I couldn't export the video out of alam for video corruption reasons, namely some kind of blue spots....
Thank you for the HELPFUL feedback.

The movie was a little disjointed, and the effects weren't exactly what I would call 'inspired', but it was still a good attempt smile I liked the part where the kid hops onto the wooden beam. I didn't like the 'bullet-time' part as much, esp. since I could see a mattress lying on the ground lol

a. export it out of alam properly and make sure u r running in 32-bit

c. maybe the lighting was good most of the time but at points i couldn't make out what was going on crazy

d. NO my speakers weren't too low, i watched this through my stereo on full blast so i could hear the quieter bits, most of the time the sound was fine, but sometimes their voices went quiet, they sorta mumbled or summit...

Good try though, i look forward to seeing ur next one smile good concept, just needs a little tweaking, and it'll be fine smile

There was a definate black outline around those lightswords, also they were always on the top of the image. When he moves it behind his head you could still see it despite the fact that it should have been hidden. I've no experience with effects on the computer, I've only got experience in making films. So I can't help you that much.

yeah, u need to use masks to make the effect go behind things, u place the mask where u actors head is, and it will delete that part of the saber, making it look like the saber is behind the head smile

THAT'S what masks do? I couldn't figure them out. lolz. Thanks TMM. But why does it not, like, disappear when you play it?

they only make the effects disappear when rendered, so they will appear white in alam, but when u export it out of alam, they will make the effects disappear smile

On second look, those lightsaber bits were to dark around the edges, but not enough for major complaint, although I didn't notice it once(upon many reviews) I do notice that the sword evades the mask at one point, just the glow though, might be able to fix it with the chromakeyer. I'll try harder next time.

what the hell was that?!
That was the worst thing I have ever seen!
I hope you didn't spend any $ on software!
My grandma's 20 year old home vid cam can do better tricks than that!
and don't start a no name short vid with a bunch of screen credits.
I guess you're not afraid of copyright infringement - IE use of music from the matrix.

Hey Darko!!! Easy up on the kid. I don't know how long he's been making films but it probably isn't that long. I know it's not great, but seeing as he's not exactly really experienced I think it's not bad. Also unless he's making profit off of it, he hasn't got to worry about copyright.

yep a decent film but it would be even better if it had a bit more work on it.

the sabers looked very fake..they were very small aswell

but still a good film but it would be very good if it had a bit more work done to it
