Hi there,
I would like some tips on how to import pictures to composite onto the scene of an existing movie. For example pasting a photo of someones head over the original head in the scene and then using keyframe to animate the different pictures and positions. I've seen this done on youtube by people using sony vegas. i.e taking king leonidas head from 300 and compositing onto thier own home movie.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,
well...

Prepare the picture(s), save as PNG so that it keeps the alpha channel (transparent background)
Import them into visionlab
drag each picture to the timeline
each picture will have their own layer
use the animate quad to move the pictue as required.

you may/will need to change the amount of time each picture is on the timeline for i.e. 1 frame, 250 frames?

I did this for my Death Note film (see cinema)

I edited the head explosion frame by frame, i am planning to do a tutorial on it in the near future.

hope this helps in some way
