Why would my signature appear after some of my posts, and not others? I think I have it set so that it appears after every post unless it is less than 30 pixels high, but sometimes after long posts, it only appears when I am logged in, or not at all.

If you use BB code in your signature, and the thread author turned that off in their thread then no signatures will show up at all.

You can try going to Forum Settings in My Account, scroll down to Posting Settings and make sure you have the "Add my signature to the end of my posts" box checked. It could have got unchecked.

That's really about all I can think of. Anybody else have ideas?

Nope, it seems to be random. For example, it appears in one of my posts in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows topic, but not in others in the same topic.

This may be related to something I was wondering about. Most of the time when I click on a thread, as its loading, I can see a banner in some of the sigs, but then it just disappears completely as the page finishes loading. I do have "show signatures" and "enable BBCode," but they always disappear after a split second when I go to a thread. Maybe related, maybe not.....

This is due to a setting in your account prefs.

Go there, and check the 'hide signature' option. Any post that isn't long enough will have its signature hidden.

Personally I have it set to '0' as I rather like seeing what crazy sigs people have. razz However, it is potentially useful if you want to trim out giant banners and focus on actual post content.

Ahh, I kept overlooking that when I was looking for options and had it set to 200 (which I guess is the default). They're showing now. Thanks for the tip.
