As the program states as it starts, the Effects Lab, Composite Lab and Vision Lab Studios are not meant to be sound editors. Sometimes, depending on format and project settings, your sound may not show up.

That said, be sure to check render settings before exporting the video from Effects Lab (if it was imported with sound) because there is a setting that must be checked to get it to work- "render with sound if possible" or something of the sort.

Alternatively, you can open the rendered .mov file or whatever in your NLE and then add the sound track to the video clip by dragging and dropping it.
