Okay, so I'm using 1080p HD Footage Widescreen, Edited in Final Cut Pro, Imported as Widescreen to Effects Lab, when it comes out, its not widescreen, but no biggy cos I know about the anamorphic button in the properties pane. But after I do that, there are this huge black borders on my footage, and the only way to get rid of them, is increase the size of the video on-screen, but that just reduces the quality of the footage. How do I stop those borders from being rendered? Please help!!

Sounds like you're setting up your project wrong in EffectsLab. 1080P isn't normally anamorphic, it's simply straight 1920x1080. Are you sure your footage is anamorphic? Are you shooting with an HDV camera at 1440x1080 perhaps?
This is definitely a project setup issue, so the main thing is to identify what kind of video you're working with.

I think I've sorted it, exported the file from final cut differently. Just rendering now, so hopefully that has sorted the problem!
