Ok, so I'm doing a thing where flames shoot out of someone's hands and feet, propelling them up like a rocket. I'm also doing the samething, but a bit differently where someone, once again, blasts fire out of their hands and feet, but this time, it comes out sideways and they're being propelled along like a supersonic thing, almost like superspeed running, but they don't move thier feet. I just can't figure out how I would give the appearence of flying up (like a rocket) or how I can do the sideways thing. ( The footage will not be turned sideways. I'm pretty sure I can just get in a car and film out the window and that will be the "fantasy background" for my greenscreen.)
(If you've ever seen an Avatar the Last Airbender cartoon where Azula (and all her awesomeness) flies and or jets around, that's pretty much the effects I'm going for.

The straight up version would be pretty simple, just get the actor to act in front of a greenscreen, then key it and slap in a bunch of stock footage or CG fire.
For the sidey-ways version, you could get the actor to lay on a table that's covered in green cloth or whatever, then key that and again slap in a bunch of stock footage or CG fire.
And if you want to be REALLY fancy, get a fan and some wires on a crane! But if you have spectacular effects, no-one's going to be looking for the line from the table. Anyways, hope that helps. smile Good luck!
