I am considering buying a Canon XH-G1 and was looking for some feedback. Can anyone tell me if this is a good camera or if they recommend a better one?

Thanks

Considering this isn't specifically a photo camera maybe this should be in the filmmaker's forum.

Although, almost everyone here is going to recommend the Canon 550d/T2i or the Canon 5d or the Canon 7d depending on your price range.

If you are looking for a DSLR or digital camera , then this is an odd product to be considering. Unless of course, you are looking for a high quality video camera and still image camera. If that's the case then look into the T2i/7D/60D from Canon. The 7D/ 5D Mark II will give you the best photo modes, and the video is relatively equal on the 7D and T2i.

Just some thoughts, enjoy! wink
