What is the best amount of keyframes to render you're movie in effectslab pro with?

I'm just guessing that you are referring to the keyframes setting in the Quicktime render dialog? If so, just leave it at the default and you should be fine. Lower numbers will result in slightly larger file sizes, while higher numbers will result in smaller files, at the potential risk of more artifacting from the compression.

If you are referring to actual keyframes in the software, on the timeline, then there isn't a best amount, but using as few as possible to achieve the effect you are after seems reasonable.
