Hey what's up, its been a while.

Ok, so here's my problem. I recently re-installed EffectsLab because somehow I lost my presets...don't know how that happened, but anyways after that I started having problems.

Whenever I open Elab a window pops up titled "Director Player Error" and it says "String expected" and <Void> below that. So I hit "Ok" on that and another window opens (still titled "Director Player Error") and it says "Handler not found in object" and below that "#getPropRef". So I hit "Ok" and it says that its importing FXpresets and ofcourse it never does it just stays like that for who knows how long till I just end it.

I recently got Windows 7, but I'm pretty sure I downloaded the most recent version of elab so that shouldn't be the prob, right?

I also got Roxio Creator 2011 around the same time I started getting these problems so would there be a compatability situation with them?

Ok, that's about it, if anyone has a solution for this, please reply, thanks.

BTW, I'm having similar problems with composite lab so I'm hoping whatever solutions you guys can give will solve probs for both of them smile

I used to get the same exact error messages when I first got EffectsLab Pro. I fixed it by doing a clean re-install: http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22285

As far as I know, EffectsLab works on Windows 7 although I can't say I know for sure, so I'm guessing you just need a clean re-install.

Hope this helps!
