How can you make pictures into .jpg? Because I can seem to figure it out.

Well, seeing as it is a video compositing program, CompositeLab's strength is not in converting or rendering to specific image formats. It is intended to work with video.

That being said, if you open the Render Settings and set the Output Container to Image Stream, you can render out each frame to an individual still image. They will be in a high quality format rather than JPEG, but from there you can convert them to JPEGs using whatever image editor you prefer.
