Hello all. today i downloaded the "Optic Eye Color Changer" preset and installed it and then imported my video of a close-up face. i dragged over the preset and it opened up a fierily eye
(very cool) but then i hit my snag.
I can't drag the fire-eye to over the ye of the subject on the video. I tried clicking all the options inside the prest but none of them allowed me to move it. what am i doing wrong? thank you for your help.

Knowledgebase'd!!!

The exact process for repositioning an effect varies based on the type of effect, but for any Optic effect, clicking Optic Movement should give you complete control over its position. that article breaks down the process for each type of effect available.

Not exactly helpful.
The reason i gave the name of the preset was so anyone who was able could tell me if I am missing something. I read the article and did what it said but when i repositioned the eye it distorted the shape. i just want to move the eye so its over the subjects eye and then re-size it

Nevermind i think i got it.
It's not very well explained...at least for me. but thank you for steering me in the right direction. reading the knowledge base didn't exactly help, but it did spark off some ideas that eventually led me to getting it.
Thank you again

Hmm, sorry, I didn't pick up on the fact that it was only this specific effect that was giving you trouble. However, i did open this preset, and selecting Optic Movement and dragging the origin point is exactly how you reposition the effect. I tested it, and it worked exactly as it should have.

Were you wondering how to move a mask? You didn't mention the mask in your description, but perhaps moving the mast is what was giving you trouble? The trick there is just to make sure that the Move tool is selected, in the Mask Attributes panel of the toolbox. then you can click anywhere inside the mask to drag it.

my problem is...and always have been, that i don't give enough description of my problem.
I have an image...its about 10 seconds of an eye
When i load the prest the fire eye effect is waaaaaay on the left and twice the size. I need to drag it into place and shrink it to fit the current. Eye. I think i understand how to do it but haven't rriewd yet because i am at work and don't have the time to do it atm
But i think i have it. Will post again tomorrow when i have tried and we can see what happens.
