If it works like it did last year then you can. It'll be available to answer later if you want.

Yep, you don't have to vote for all the categories if you don't want to.

Some of the categories are pretty close still, so get those votes coming in!

Cool, got about half of my votes in. This year I promise I'll be much better at rating cinema submissions, so I have something to go off of when awards season rolls around next year.

Side note: Anyone remember that foreign chase movie shot on a 7D from a few months ago? 'Twas surprisingly good, and wanted to revisit it before casting my final nominations.

Do you mean this? http://fxhome.com/cinema/view/4333/locked

There were some really great films that passed through the cinema last year. The previous few years I always had an obvious favourite, but this year I'm having a harder time choosing...

Congratulations to all the nominees, admittedly I nominated 'Inebriation' for one or two things, but good to see my other nominations held true in the outcome. Very excited about the awards nominations, even more about the new demoreels and behind-the-scenes content I feel obliged to upload... biggrin

Congrats Rody and Thrawn. I voted for the two of you in several of the nomination categories. Best of luck, and glad to see you both be nominated. Best of luck to all of you selected in the nominations though.

It comes as somewhat of a surprise to have been nominated myself for two categories. Albeit, a pleasant surprise. Vote for DV or... or... wink

Oh, thank you very much for the nomination! I'm glad that my work on "Art" is liked in the categories it's nominated in. That's really really much appreciated.

And congratulations to every other nominee on the list. A really great selection of filmmakers and work up there!

And seeing "The Test" up there just made me giggle. biggrin

I must say I'm a little surprised to not see The Cutter Vendetta up there. But I guess woe is the nominating process.

It's a nice trek down memory lane to see the 'Top Movies of All Time' list. Although I have to ask- how's that decided? Where's Lucky Strike or some others? Is it by votes? If so, would A Love Not Standing be in there? wink

Either way, super duper excited about it all- looking forward to the outcome!

Yeah, I was surprised to not see that make the shortlists. Then again, perhaps people felt that it had already been rewarded enough in the competition last year?

It's more-or-less the top rated movie of each year that we have ratings for. It's not 100% accurate, as some of the classics unfortunately aren't active in the cinema anymore - I'm pretty sure DXM should be in there somewhere, for example.

I also excluded anything which I thought was a 'test' movie. With the slightly ironic exception of Sollthar's 'The Test', of course...which despite its name isn't just a basic test. Or is it? It's confusing. razz

Anyway, I thought that would be a fun extra category to throw in - as you say, triggers off some nice memories, which is appropriate given that we're approaching the 10th anniversary of the company pretty soon. smile

Well done to all the nominees!

Nah, just a fan of presentation and campaigning. 'Eventism', my friend. Whether it's for myself or you or someone else entirely, you should know by now I live for it. smile

Also, I edit demo reels/clip shows while I'm in ruts for other videos I'm editing. This is half the product of that. The other half is just that I enjoy sharing bts-style stuff with the community, like this.

But yes, it would be nice to win, too. biggrin

Fantastically-produced awards video, guys!

And wow- super excited about winning Best Editing for Inebriation- never really expected that, so thanks very much everybody!

All the winners I think ended up really great, and the whole show was put on extremely well. Congrats, most-notably to Art and Sollthar on pulling in Best Cinematography and Film! I was a little sad not to see my bro get the cinematography award, knowing how hard he's worked at it the past year on different projects as well, but Art was an exceptional film and had some great, natural cinematography and attention to lighting- and one I'm both happy to lose to and see win! biggrin

I have to say there's one category I was really, really surprised by the results in- but the results are pretty good nonetheless, and as always it's been a fun process where I've just been feeling crazily enthusiastic about just being nominated!

So thanks once again, on behalf of Atomic Productions, for nominating us into every category- and helping us win one of them! We're extremely grateful to the community, to all of the stiff competition with great nominees, and give our congrats to all the winners once more!

Can't wait to (hopefully) see you guys around here next year! wink

Wow, that was unexpected. Thanks a lot for the two wins in cinematography and best movie! That makes me really proud, especially against such strong competition from the likes of Ben and CX3 - both of which I have a great amount of respect for in that area. Thanks a lot! Can't wait to pass the news on to the Art team!

And congrats to Atom for a well deserved win in a long overdue cathegory! It's great to see the art of editing both being taken serious as well as honored! And I hope your win inspires others to work as hard in that often so underestimated field.

And I had to smile really really hard when art of the saber won best overall movie. How could it have been any different? Those lightsabers seem to be burnt in. smile

Also many congrats to Max who manages to bring home best filmmaker without a film! biggrin
Those expectations for Loverboy must be skyhigh. Better make that good. smile
No, seriously, well done man and glad you won. You really are inspiring.

Very cool outcome this year!

Great presentation, guys, and thanks to the FXhome community for voting me as Most Inspiring yet again! Very flattered, indeed, by that association.

Really good choices all around, as well - very happy to see 'Art' win Best Cinematography and Best Movie! Admittedly, I wanted to win cinematography again (three years, five nominations and a win, so I can't complain! biggrin), but if there were any other candidate I wanted to win, it was 'Art'. While I enjoy the hell out of CX3's work, and find its technical precision unmatched, I really wanted the cinematography award to be given to something with lighting and a finesse of the objects in the frame. Street Fighter had some truly incredible motions in it, but the images in 'Art' can be enjoyed both as stills and in conjunction with one another as the video plays. I think there's something to be said for that.

Again, too, happy to see it win Best Movie by that same token - that it keeps the pace of a movie, and is well directed and acted. It's no secret that I enjoy good cinematography and acting the most in film efforts - I don't care if there's no sound, or if the story is ludicrous: if the acting and camerawork is good, I'm sold on it 'feeling' like a movie. I'm not saying, at all, that 'Art' has any of the negative traits mentioned, just that it commanded well both acting/direction AND cinematography, and that's a potent combination in my book, well deserving of Best Movie.

To all other award winners, my brother included, congratulations! Well deserved all around. Admittedly, I really thought either myself or my brother would be able to snag Best Filmmaker this time around (what with the usual contest videos, music videos, and the relative successes of Inebriation and The Brocial Network, as well as our other film threads) but I suppose the voters were looking for something different! biggrin

Anyhow, thanks again everyone, great show, and everyone here at Atomic really appreciates your support.

Congratulations to all those who won an award and those who didn't- just to get nominated is a real testament to your skills as a film maker. I think that all those who voted had a really hard time choosing this year as the films of this year have been of a very high quality and each has been different and enjoyable in their own way. Again, congratulations to all- hope to see the same next year! biggrin

Well done everyone! I think the awards certainly went out to those deserving, which is totally awesome. Props to Sollthar in winning both Best Cinematography and Best Movie. Totally deserving, and I was glad to see it get some more recognition. Inebriation, Art, Street Fighter, Ben, Switnton.. All really great picks. smile

Not to take the spotlight off of the winners, but once again, it was awesome to be nominated, so thank you so much FXhome for giving me that opportunity!

Also, great awards show, guys! biggrin As you might have noticed, my presentation video had to be cut slightly to a one-minute running time. I'll be posting the 3 minute Full Uncensored Redhawk Experience tomorrow!

Good job everyone! smile

All really great picks. smile

Also, great presentation! Extremely enjoyable smile

Next year I hope there is a "Best Parody User" category, so FXhoax can finally get the recognition they demand.
My thoughts exactly.

Well done to everyone who was nominated! I'd like to extend a personal thanks to you all for voting for 'Roulette', it was a honour to receive a nomination at all, let alone for 'Best Film'. Thanks everyone for your continued support. I really wouldn't be doing this if it were not for you guys; your advice, comments and criticisms helped keep me motivated during the 11 months it took to make 'Roulette'. This summer, I'll be starting my next project. It is a great feeling to know that there is a community to people out there who can help me, improve me, and enjoy my work. And who knows? Maybe next year I might just win one of these elusive, prestigious awards.

As for the winners, congratulations! Every one was as deserving as the last. This year has been an exceptional one for the Fxhome cinema, and this year's awards proved that we have many great filmmakers in our midsts. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I can't wait to see what you guys are up next.
