Director Player Error - FAQ fix not working

Basically when I start up composite lab I get the 'director player error' box flash up.
The project loads until there is one minute remaining every time and then the box flashes up reading "String expected <Void>", I click ok, then a second box with "Object expected" comes up immediately after, again I click ok.
The project then loads blank in the timeline, with the canvas showing the scene I last worked on when I saved the project last. When I move around the time line the same two boxes flash up repeatedly.
This is pretty distressing because the scene in question has so far taken me about a week to fix up and is very detailed and so to loose it would mean a lot of catch-up required.
I have tried the clean re-install which unfortunately did not fix the problem.
If anybody knows how to fix this please let me know as soon as you can!

Is this happening on one particular project? Can you start another project without the error occurring?

If the problem is with a single specific project, then its unlikely a re-install will have any effect Since the issue is with the project itself, not the installation of the software. Your best course of action is to revert to an earlier backup of the project, from before the error presented, so you lose as little of your work as possible.
FXhomer97267 - when re-installing, did you find the folder mentioned in step 3 of the instructions
, the one which it explains might be hidden by the OS? Not deleting all of the related folders during the clean re-install can nullify the benefits of re-installing at all.

I'm getting the same problem and I've already reinstalled the program. When I go to import media the message that's been previously described appears. Please help. I'm running off of an XP.
