Hi folks,
I have discovered a fairly convincing way to create a flying insect effect that can be animated into my exsisting footage. What I've done is to drag a muzzle flash into my scene, then choose a ball as a texture, then reduce the scale to the size of a small insect. But here's my problem. I can't render the ball black , Or any other dark colour . Can anybody please help????

Maybe the composite mode of that effect is still set to 'screen' or 'add'. The composite mode defines the way the background pixels and effect/overlay pixels are combined. If you set this to 'normal' the insect should be visible even if set to a dark color (like black).

The below screenshot is from a particle effect but it should basically be the same smile
