I am filming Supergirls ressurection.
She is in a pod in space flying towards the sun. it's rays bring her back to life.
I have filmed supergirl layiong on a leather mattress surrounded by silver cloth. i then put a .PNG over this in VLS so it looks like we are looking through the window of the pod. Awesome...now i have downloaded the presets that have the sun moving closer and a flare curating across the pods window....
Wonderful....
Except its obvious the pods window has no glas....I ineed a way to make the pod window look real and have the flare and they sun dance across it....any ideas?

Perhaps make a small escape pod filled with greenscreen that actually has glass (or transparent plactic) then put Supergirl and here surrounding where the greenscreen is after it's been keyed out.

we don't have greenscreen but there is something you said that just might work and that would be putting a sheet of glass in between her and the camera so when we layer the .png over it it will cover all the glass except where the .png has the opening....hmmmm ok if there is no way of adding this glass over her face digitally then i guess its old school for me.

Thank you very much for the inspiration. I appreciate it as I am sure i would not have gotten it without your comment.

You're welcom. Glad to help! (also, is this the movie where the clone stabbs the person or vise-versa?)

LOL nope. That one is on the back burner until i can get it looking the way i want. This one is a different one. In the first movie Supergirl gets killed after smoking a kryptonite laced cigarette (hows that for anti-smoking)
in the next movie she will be shot into space to bring her back.

As I'm not exactly sure about the way your scene has been set up (position of objects, camera, ...), I'm just guessing a bit here. But if I understood correctly, you may still be able to use some kind of glass-png to simulate a little glass-like reflection.

If you have a small sample of the video or a screenshot of that scene we might be able to find a way to digitally add the glass/window.

Btw.: Quite a nice way of killing Supergirl wink
