I just bought AlamDV2, I had been using AlamDV 1 that I got from a macaddict cd, I truly do enjoy the new AlamDV but there are a few things that I need to do that can be done much faster in AlamDV1 I was just wondering if there was someplace I could still download it from, other wise I'll just order a back issue of macaddict to get it as I have since lost my first issue.

AlamDV1 is no longer available. What do you think is faster in AlamDV1? I can't think of anything that AlamDV2 doesn't do better. It could be that you haven't found out about how to do it in AlamDV2 properly...?

I know I havn't delved into all the juicy details of this wondous program. My main thing is that I found AlamDv1very quick to do lightswords or quick lasers. I'm sure I'm just being picky, it's not like they take that long to do in 2, I'm just a collage student with a lot to do, and not a lot of timeto spend on my film.

Aha!

With the lightswords, do the following:

Choose the effect. The quad appears. However, as you say, repositioning the quad is tricky for lightswords and some things.

So go to 'interface method' and choose 'alamdv1 mode'. Now go to 'Modify' and select 'reset quad'.

You can now place the effect as you would in alamdv1, by clicking four points. You can still use the tweening engine, though. AlamDV2 is faster at doing everything than AlamDV1, you just have to read the manual. smile
