Hey all!

I'm trying to add a muzzle flash, and so I watched a number of tutorials, starting with the muzzle flash one. But none of the tutorials helped me with one thing- and that is that during the shot, the gun is moving, barrel kind of sweeping around as the subject is firing.

How do I make the muzzle flash track with the gun as it moves back and forth? It's fully automatic fire.

Thanks!

There isn't really a trick to it. On each frame, you drag the muzzle flash to the correct location, then adjust the rotation controls so it is pointing in the correct direction.

You track it by moving the origin point of the muzzle flash engine with the barrel. You may have to adjust the axis to match, but that's basically how it's done if I understand your question correctly.

EDIT: Axeman beat me to it wink

Thanks guys. So it's just a time consuming thing- no real flashy gizmo or anything. All righty- off to go spend hours on muzzle flashes!

Woo!
