I read the sticky on checking the rendering settings first, but my video, despite matching the frame rates, still comes out just a little too fast and I get this lag at certain points in my videos. Does anyone know what a good default setting is or can anyone suggest what they use to render their videos? Thanks for any help. smile

When you set your project settings, is it set to "Interlaced?" If you're working with 29.97 footage, set your project settings to "Deinterlace" even or odd depending on whether you are using NTSC or PAL (I believe even is for NTSC). Otherwise, if you're working with 23.976 footage, set your framerate to 24 and Progressive. This may help.

Thanks. smile i finally figured out the problem though. I was rendering through Cinepak Codec by Radius that did not retain very good quality. I used Microsoft Video 1, which is less compressive, at 75%, and got the speed and quality I was seeking. smile
