Hi there everyone. I was wondering how to mask only at a certain point in the timeline. I am wanting to use the mask to create the effect that my reflection in the mirror is doing something entirely different than my actual body. I can do this using two clips with a tripod and overlapping the clips at just the right time and masking out the mirro of the top layer. The problem is that the mask wants to stay from start to end, through the entire duration of my videos, rather than just a specified keyframed time frame. Does anyone know how to get a mask to work only at certain points and how to turn off the mask at certain points when it is no longer needed? Thanks in advance guys and I am loving this software so far! smile

On the frame before the one on which you want the mask to appear, move the mask out of frame.

I tried that. All I get is keyframes, not an actual pink bar that I can move to a certain time frame. The mask still lasts the entire duration. unsure Perhaps I misunderstood. With all of the effects, this is no problem, it is just this mask that is stomping me XD I am still working on figuring this out though. I'll let you know if I have a breakthrough. smile

You can't change the length of the 'pink bar' representing a mask. It will last as long as the clip it is associated with. So you can either slice your clip at the length which you want the mask applied, and only applied it to the portion of the clip where you want it, or you can move it out of the way when you don't need it.
