Hello,

Many of the presets cause VisionLab to crash. When I click on a preset one of three things happens:
1. It works and can be applied to the clip
2. It crashes VisionLab with the error: "rumtime error: Abnormal Program Termination" (duh!)
3. It crashes/hangs VisionLab with the error: "Macromedia Projector has stopped working" and I have to use the Task Manager to shut VisionLab down.

This is very frustrating. I don't know which presets are going to cause the crash, and I am not about to keep a list of which ones to avoid.

I am using VisionLab under Windows 7 64bit with 16GB of memory a Quadro FX3800 graphics card and dual Xeon 5520 processors. If I can't find a solution for this then VisionLab will go back on the shelf until I have a chance to try Hitfilm and even then it may be time to move to AE.

Any ideas?

Never mind. I'll just go through the presets and weed out the culprits.

Have you tried a clean reinstall? Instructions. All presets have to go through an approval process which confirms that they work correctly before they are uploaded to the site, so they should all definitely work. If they don't then something is likely askew with your installation; a clean re-install should clear it up.

Yes. The first thing I tried was a clean install. I uninstalled Visionlab and hunted down every file I could find pertaining to it.
I have the latest version of Qt and DirectX 11.
No change. I use it mostly for the effects and do most of my colour adjustment in the final edit so it's not a big problem. But still...maybe I'll give it another shot.

For what it's worth I was able to determine that any preset that used a Composite filter, like Composite:Glow would crash Visionlab. So I deleted all those.
