It's been another busy week here at FXhome putting the finishing touches to HitFilm ahead of its July release. Check out the video above for a look at the new film damage effect, plus a little bonus at the end...

That wasn't 10 minutes Lol

And it's cool that that Film Burn effect can do a lot of the stuff Twitch (from Videocopilot) does. Looking forward to the demo.

A particle effect bouncing off two deflectors with the particles under the influence of gravity while the camera's in motion!?

You Nutters!

The possibilities were realised in my head similar to the epiphany's that occur when playing through portal for the first time. Looking forward to next week!

All looking great! Quick question, not directly related to the video, but does Hitfilm support a 2nd screen as a full screen preview device? With premiere pro (and no doubt lots of other editors) you can have your 2nd screen setup as a full screen device that will show your video when you play it from the timeline. Would be fab if hitfilm would incorporate somethin glike that too.

I agree. It's an extremely useful feature in Vegas Pro, and I have wished the Lab products had it countless times. Pretty please? wink

I'd gather from this that it will be possible. Could be false hope though...

3Dmus - each panel of the interface can be floated br breaking it out of the main interface, and can then be dragged and repositioned however you like. So its pretty easy to break out the Viewer, drag it to your second monitor, and resize it to fill the whole screen.

Thanks Axeman. NOt quite the same as the full screen preview etc, but should be close enough for my needs. One thing though, can you duplicate the "viewing panel" (or whatever it's called) so that you would have a version on each screen?

A second viewer which is full screen on your secondary monitor is something we can consider after release for sure if people want that feature. smile

That would be really great, if possible. I'm sure a number of people would find that to be really useful. Although, Axeman's method would work as well, a full screen one could be even better!

This is indeed looking better and better. However it's not really interesting me as much as it should seeing as my media production flows throughout my iMac. But this is really great stuff!

ooo! someome's showing off, and I don't blame you. THis really is looking amazing. This year has been flying so far, why is July taking so long to get here, and just to clarify, is it the first of July? middle of July when, god damn you twisted
Will an effect be able to be tracked to a moving object, is this possible in hitfilm, say if a car was passing through the shot, and I wanted to track some fire to the car, or would I have to be keyframinfg that?

New blog post with a preview of HitFilm.com and some thoughts on why we've developed a new website: http://launch.hitfilm.com/blog/hitfilm-com-profile-preview/

This'll probably be of particular interest to veteran FXhomers. We can't wait to let you loose on all the new gizmos we've created for you. biggrin
